  • Do Vyovo learners need to register with an external body?
Yes, learners following the CAPS curriculum must register with IMPAQ, while those choosing to write International GCSE must register as private candidates with an external centre for their Cambridge exams. The South African Schools Act also requires that parents register their child with the Head of Department of a Provincial Education Department should they wish to educate their child at home. This is compulsory from Grade 1 to Grade 9 or age 15. Learners in the FET Phase, Grades 10 to 12 must be registered with an assessment board through an independent service provider.

No, Vyovo does not issue report cards or qualifications. These are issued by the registered curriculum providers: IMPAQ for CAPS learners and Cambridge for International GCSE/AS Level learners.
  • Are textbooks provided by Vyovo?
Textbooks are included in the IMPAQ registration fee for CAPS learners. For International GCSE and AS/A Levels learners textbooks are however not included and will be an additional cost.
  • What are the tuition hours and term dates at Vyovo?
Vyovo follows the IMPAQ calendar and term dates. Timetables are customised for each learner, with tuition running Monday to Thursday, 8:00-13:00 during term, offering at least seven tutor lessons per day. Afternoon private Extra Tuition Sessions are also available by appointment at an additional cost.
